Silver Hawk

Kittyhawk A29-118 after a landing mishap at Bankstown on November 5th, 1943.
This Hawk had been involved in no less than three accidents prior to this, all while
serving with 75 Squadron. She met her end on July 25th, 1945 when F/Sgt. Herbert
Lindsay Frizell of 2 OTU augered in near Mildura while flying aerobatics. Head to
our page for 2 OTU to see what this Hawk looked like while serving with that outfit.

No thanks, not a FAN.

Kittyhawk IV A29-614 at Labuan Island Airfield in July of 1945. She was later
damaged in a landing accident, never repaired, and said to have been burned in January of 1946.

FAY

I've conflicting information on this Hawk. The source credited below states that this
is Kittyhawk (IV) A29-652 at Higgins Field, Jackey Jackey, Cape York in 1945. However,
another reference states that she's A29-632 and indicates that she may have been with
33 Operational Base Unit at the time, as that was Ted Jones' outfit and the photo came
from him. Whatever the case, this Hawk obviously once served with 82 Squadron.
