P-40M 43-5802
Burma Banshee

Most of these photos were taken at North Weald, Essex on June 2nd, 2013 by Richard Crockett.
It was the first public appearance of 43-5802 in a new paint scheme which represents a P-40N-1
flown by 2Lt. Phil Adair of the 89th Fighter Squadron, 80th Fighter Group in the CBI during
the Second World War. The markings actually appear to be a composite of those worn by two of
Adair's ships, but I'm not complaining! This Hawk looks super-groovy as a Burma Banshee!!
