Miscellaneous P-40s in the PTO

This is a P-40E or E-1, this I know. Other than that, I've only tentative guesses.

EDIT: My tentative guess of '8th Fighter Squadron' has been confirmed, and this photo
is now included on the page for that outfit. Still not sure about the location, however.

Preening Feathers

Seven anonymous wrench-turners do their thing with an equally anonymous Hawk.

'Title Goes Here'

I have no info at all for this P-40N. It's interesting to note that the national insignia
is in transition here; the fuselage marking has bars, with none on the wing.

This is P-40N 42-104944 sitting with a sister ship on what appears to be a strip in the PTO.

The Pool Is Open

I have no concrete info for this P-40N, which may be 44-7960.
The 'POOL' marking on the rudder is interesting. I think this was applied to aircraft that
had gone through depot maintenance but which had yet to be assigned to an operational unit.
Not sure on that however...

Another 'Pool' P-40N. This ship, 43-23187, was apparently photographed at Garbutt Field in
Australia after a midair during the Summer of 1944. She had previously been with the RAAF
as A29-689 and was transferred to the USAAF FEAF under reverse Lend-Lease in July of
'44. Info I've come across indicates she may have been destined for the 49th Fighter Group.
