Brookley was home to the Southeast Army Air Depot during the war.

DO-DO

Strange looking P-40, eh? This Jug named 'DO-DO' (undoubtedly after the exctinct Dodo bird),
snapped at Brookley in 1944, may actually be a Curtiss-built P-47G, though I am not certain of this.
Either way, Curtiss-built or no, I include this photo here merely as a matter of interest.
