'Honky Tonky Donky'
Pushing what looks to be a 1000-pounder toward the belly of Lt. Albert E. Lincicome's
P-40L, coded X98 and named 'Honky Tonky Donky' at Capodichino Airdrome, late January
or early February 1944. She was undoubtedly being readied for a sortie in support of
Operation Shingle, the allied invasion of Anzio. Note that she's missing an exhaust stack.
