The first three photos below are said to show Major John Chennault, C.O. of the 11th Fighter
Squadron and son of General Claire Chennault, in the cockpit of one of his 'Aleutian Tigers'.
This ship has sometimes been identified as #96 but this is clearly not the case, as there are
several distinct differences between the artwork carried on the nose of each.

Umnak Island during June of 1942. Many distinct differences in the artwork are apparent.
