British Bogeys

On this page you'll find photos of P-40s in RAF markings for which I have little or no info.

This photo of an unidentified RAF Tomahawk was found in a gallery on the SmugMug photo-sharing site.
The gallery, created by Mr. Stuart Lamb, is made up of photos from an album put together by the late
Gilbert C. Lamb, (1915-2005) an RAF veteran who served in North Africa. I've cleaned up and enhanced
the image a bit, but the original may be seen HERE.

Regrettably, I kept no record as to the source of this image showing an RAF Kittyhawk III.
Please contact the webmaster if you have info about the Hawk shown, or its original source.

Groovy color shot of a Tomahawk gettin' a bit of TLC. The IWM caption reads:

Airmen in tropical dress work on the Allison engine of a Curtiss Tomahawk aircraft
in a makeshift hangar. The photograph is believed to have been taken at Takoradi.

Five old beat up T-Hawks await some TLC at an unknown (to me) airfield in North Africa.
