Tomahawk I AH762

I'm fairly certain that all of the following photos were taken on February 7th, 1941 at RAF
Charmy Down during comparative trials between Tomahawk AH762 and a Hawker Hurricane.

AH762 was photographed in the company of Hurricane I P2798, the personal
mount of Squadron Leader Ian R. Gleed, commanding officer of 87 Squadron, RAF,
which was at the time based at Charmy Down. I believe, though am not entirely certain,
that P2798 was the ship used for the trials between the Hurricane and Tomahawk.

Squadron Leader Gleed confers with Wing Leader Victor Beamish, who flew AH762 during
the trials between the Hurricane and Tomahawk. Gleed flew the Hurricane.

Both pilots were decorated Battle of Britain veterans.

At present I do not know the results of the trials between AH762 and the Hurricane.
